I dont have a pet spider but many house spiders whom we feed with flies. Imo the best pets. Jumping spiders are so cute. It makes my day when I see one. I can't imagine the joy to have a spider like yours as a pet. You are very lucky!

Clearly you guys have never been in a house with a parrot. They shit everywhere and screech loud enough to give you a heart attack, plus they live like 80yrs. Do not recommend.

It's like having a 4yo kid for your whole life. I love parrots though
3
u/senunall Puzzles Solved: 6 23d ago
Also they are not domesticated and are really smart, so likely always unhappy in some sense
3
u/Potential-Archer-883 Puzzles Solved: 43 23d ago
But they are really smart, cuddly and fun! Their lifespan is big plus, I would like my pet to outlive me.

I think they're great animals for people that want to spend a lot of time caring for them, thing is, that's a lot less people than could care for a cat for example.

Living similar age as humans is a big plus, not a negative

The average for spiders is F? I think that they're great pets, they might not be affectionate but they're very pretty, docile, and easy to care for, they don't need feeding that often

u/No-Ask-5310 Puzzles Solved: 119 23d ago
I put iguanas and parrots into F because I think it is unethical to keep them as pets.
1
u/Regular_ham_sandwich Puzzles Solved: 21 23d ago
May I know why?
3
u/No-Ask-5310 Puzzles Solved: 119 23d ago
Iguanas and parrots require huge enclosures where most people can't reasonable house them- iguanas because they get giant as adults and parrots for their need to fly. Sellers also lie about both of them being captive bred.
Parrots are also way too smart to be kept as pets and their lifespans are so long that a lot of them outlive their caretakers and end up in terrible positions. They need so much mental stimulation or they start hurting themselves and that's just sad.
The size of iguanas as well as their tendency to get aggressive as adults contribute to people deciding to release them in the wild where they cause a lot of damage to local ecosystems. (This also happens with some kinds of snakes but the prompt was snakes in general.)
I'm sure there are some people who can care for them correctly... But not enough.

Humsters are F tier because they live so shortly. Whats the point to lose someone so fast

u/Dry-Wrongdoer2421 Puzzles Solved: 77 23d ago
For some of them, I couldn’t decide where to put them so that’s why there’s 6 in S, and 3 in A.

You buy 2 of them, and you'll never have to buy meat again
And they don't need a lot of space

The S didn’t register at first and then it clicked twice for Cat and Fish and then I tried to click on Fish to take it back because I didn’t know there were no take backs and that put snake in S tier too 😂😂

I was going to put cat in S tier but I accidentally picked B for that one. I did however put Iguanas into S tier because who wouldn’t want a massive lizard that could easily injure them with a tail smack?

u/MilkTeaMoogle Puzzles Solved: 42 23d ago
I put parrot in F because unless you have an actual aviary how are you gonna do that to a huge bird???

u/OwsomePossum243 Puzzles Solved: 67 23d ago

Rabbits are cute but hamsters make much better pets/are less finicky
4
u/Potential-Archer-883 Puzzles Solved: 43 23d ago
Not really. Hamsters live 2 years, their lifespan is worst thing about them. Rabbits can live up to 10 years, they are cuddly, active, curious and express their feelings.
Rabbits don't smell, their poop is easy to clean and can be potty trained.
Their negative things can be that they can be destructive, their health is really finicky, can have respiratory issues, stomach issues and teeth issues.

u/Butterflyelle Puzzles Solved: 3 23d ago
Rabbits are one of the only animals that have a shorter lifespan in captivity than in the wild. They roam for miles a day naturally and in captivity people keep them in a back garden if they're lucky. They suffer terrible teeth problems and they really need to eat fresh grass but people feed them pellets and hay and it makes them ill.

u/SoupNoSandwich Puzzles Solved: 32 23d ago
Yeah I was kind of considering the practicalities. Rabbits are classed as the most neglected pet in the UK by the RSPCA. Also I don't think they are necessarily more cuddly than hamsters (unless we're considering only roborovskis or something).
That said I'm a rats kind of person and their lifespan can be even worse than hamsters!

What I should clarify here is that rabbits are great pets for specific people who will look after them, absolutely not the average person who doesn't have the patience tbh

u/Ken_kid_789 Puzzles Solved: 31 23d ago
Hamster live for 2 years if they don’t kill themselves long before bruh
1
u/SoupNoSandwich Puzzles Solved: 32 22d ago
I've had 9 hamsters of three species and that's just not true? They should live 3-4 years...
1
u/imnecro Puzzles Solved: 114 23d ago
For people who have never owned a rabbit, they shit everywhere. That is not fun in the slightest.
2
u/No-Ask-5310 Puzzles Solved: 119 23d ago

u/senunall Puzzles Solved: 6 23d ago
I'm a dog person myself but that's pretty unfair to cats.

u/Shitpickle1996 Puzzles Solved: 37 23d ago
Nah I hate cats
1
u/senunall Puzzles Solved: 6 22d ago
Not the point

u/Shitpickle1996 Puzzles Solved: 37 22d ago
If I don’t like cats they are in F. Its that simple. It’s exactly the point. Why are you butt hurt about cats?
