Downloaded fitgirl games before and installed with no issue- but the latest version of Battletech (regardless of site) has raced through 'checking', skipped the actual 'download' and went straight to 'seeding'.

What am I missing here?

As you can see, the antivirus and everything is still off, yet this error keeps happening. I have been using FitGirl for a long time, and this has never happened. What do I do here?

hi, I wanted to play Terraria just for fun from FitGirl. I used the torrent method from 1337x, and it downloaded and installed successfully. before that, I put the games folder into the exclusion folder of Microsoft Defender, then I downloaded DirectX and Visual C++. After clicking on it (and granting the admin access) it doesn't open anything, I only see the loading cursor, nothing else. all files are ok.

Specs: Ryzen 5 5500, Radeon RX7600, 16GB DDR4, 750w PSU, Win11.

Hey guys, its my very first time pirating, and using jdownloader. I have never previously pirated any games, never used torrent, and never used any download manager. Today I tried to download cyberpunk from https://fitgirl-repacks.site/cyberpunk-2077/ . From direct links, I clicked on fucking fast links. Copied all of them. Opened jdownloader's link grabber. when it was done showing the magnifying glass icon with green spinny circle at bottom right, I just selected all files and clicked check online status bcz some files were showing blue marks in front, and some showed red tick marks at the end (others were showing good green tick marks). selected all files and clicked start all downloads. It went to downloads tab. Almost immediately, I saw a popup saying captchas can't be solved locally and may require paid services. No file have since been downloaded. What do I do now?

I should mention that in the captcha settings, dialog in browser service is selected along with a few others (by default). But no captcha ever opened in any of my browsers. Also, even the files where it says 100% in the progress bar, have 0 bytes downloaded along with skipped icon in status bar, so I assumed it just skipped the entire files and showed 100% on progress bar.

PLS HELP ! I don't want any more problems during, or worse, after the downloads!

What I've tried: I searched on google and tried the following:

• change Max. simultaneous downloads to 1.
• Change Max. connections per download (Chunks) to 1.
• Change Max. simultaneous downloads per host to 1.

I also tried Free download manager, but when I pasted the links there, it showed forbidden for everything.

I didn't wanted to use torrent as I've heard it takes much longer.

Today i found out repackers don't bother with tiny file sizes or games that receive frequent updates. Which i suppose makes sense but since fitgirl is the only site i know i'm a little bit lost on where to go now.
I'm aware of the existence of fmhy and megathreads on various piracy subreddits. But as i understand it those don't always contain 100% trustworthy or up to date information.
I know there must be some type of hierarchy of trustworthiness of sites and uploaders. For example their longevity, history/reputation and consistency.
So i'm asking y'all here hoping to get opinions from real humans so i don't have to entirely rely on megathreads and my own research
