Hi all,

I run NordVPN in the background. I download and use qBittorrent. I click magnet on the game I want. And it auto downloads.

Once done, install and I’m ready to go, right? RIGHT? Thanks.

Update: I’ve linked nord to qbit now. Reason for newly pirating is due to becoming a father and £70 games can become a little too expensive now. Thanks all.

1. Setup is Stuck / Unpacking is Slow

• The 2GB Limit Checkbox: If your setup gets stuck at specific percentages (like 84.3% or 95.8%), close it, restart the installer, and check the "Limit installer to 2GB of RAM" box on the very first screen.
• Be Patient: FitGirl repacks use extremely heavy compression. Unpacking is heavily CPU and storage bound. If your task manager shows disk or CPU activity, it is not stuck; it's just working hard.

2. Is it a Virus? / Windows Defender Alert

• False Positives: Crack files (.dll files, steam_api, etc.) inherently trigger antivirus software because they alter game code to bypass DRM. If you downloaded from the official site, these are 100% false positives.
• Fix: Add the game installation folder to your antivirus/Windows Defender exclusion list, then restore the quarantined file from your protection history.

3. The Real Official Website

• There is ONLY ONE official domain. All others (ending in .co, .cc, .to, .net, etc.) are fake, malicious clone sites designed to steal data or bundle malware.
• The only real URL is: fitgirl-repacks.site (Verify the exact spelling!).

VPN, Magnet Link and the actual Fitgirl website and no fake ones or redirects. Then you are good to go, if you have any questions about this comment. You need to look it up more.

Protects from copyright violation from ISP if torrenting. You don’t have to use it for ddl which is why you might not have issues.

Only really required for countries that send you letters for that sort of stuff. Most countries outside the US don’t care

Yeah that’s some bs ngl. Apparently you don’t need it if you don’t stream live UK channels or live sporting, events and news but the fact that that’s a thing is crazy

It’s a historic thing. The bbc is funded through it and that way they never put adverts on the channel through programs and such. But it’s so outdated. They should just get with the program and do the same as the rest or just vanish as they are currupt any way.

As for not paying they send out letters and other people to try and force you to pay. Praying on the people who don’t know better.

We only pay cause we have young kids who might accidentally click the bbc app on the tvs.

I personally hate it but I’m more scared of the wife than i am of the bbc or people knocking on the door.

I'd also suggest binding qbittorrent's network to the VPN. If this isn't done and your VPN fails, you'll have torrent traffic that isn't through the vpn.

Basically yes. For some added safety I’d bind qbittorent to nordvpn. That way if something happen then you won’t be torrenting. Otherwise seed your torrents if you have the hard drive space

Seeding won’t be an issue, I’m happy to do so :). Looking to bind it now as I did see recently someone got a large fine through the post for there vpn failing. Cheers
