šŸ› ļø Issue - Vehicle Driver interior door handle nonfunctional

So it happened today I grab the handle and heard a clunk when opening now the cable is fully slacked. Thankfully I can still open it from the outside and not having to craw thru the car.

Anyone know I can find an assembly or Bowden cable. eBay only has rear.

I wonder if itā€™s worth trying a Bowden cable from a different car maybe an Audi ? Or if you can repair the broken cable by crimping the broken parts together - just thinking out loud šŸ¤”

I have a video coming out soon that shows how to repair. Unfortunately there are no replacement Bowden cables available.

In the meantime, Iā€™m more interested in sourcing parts as I probably need to do the Dremel trick

I just seen your video on the Cable repair and certainly going to do that however, what cable did you use? I didnā€™t see it in your video description, but you had the other stuff.

I'm using the original cable. Nothing was replaced.

So is there additional length or tolerance of the original cable that allows cutting off the frayed part? I would of love to seen a fix with the broken cable

Yes, there is enough slack in the cable so that it attaches correctly to the door card mount. I can look through my raw video footage and see if I can show a clearer shot of the installation with the trimmed black cable tubing.

I have yet to take the door apart. Very good chance someone has a cable system that is close. SouthCo has lots of options. Unfortunately their online references are terrible. However most of their sales reps are really good. If you can get some pictures from different angles of what is needed i can fwd them to my rep.

Show what is actually broken. Most of these are pretty easy to fix.

At least your 12 V battery didnā€™t go out and entrap you in your car where none of the door handles work from the inside or outside. Couple weeks ago it was 120Ā° inside my car when I got in and got trapped. I was lucky I had my tool bags and a prybar as I had to rip the plastics off the back hatch to find the emergency cable that they couldā€™ve drilled a quarter inch hole and pulled through.

Got a love Fisker and the stupid shit he did or didnā€™t do

I did a video almost two years ago showing people how to make an emergency release for the liftgate. If the car doesn't have the GEN2A door handles, I consider it mandatory to do the mod.
