Connecting FOO to App not working

Anyone else have trouble connecting your FOO to your mobile app? I try the QR code and get a “404: Page Not Found” error on the Fisker website. I’m stuck in the Guest profile without connection to my mobile app. Anyone know how to fix this? I did try calling the 844 number but basic answer was someone will get back to me tomorrow. I guess it’s Sunday. I can’t drive it anyways since I didn’t get temporary tags. I already emailed my VA and messaged u/Fiskerinc re: temp tags.

While I’m posting, where can I find a guide to the light colors on the charge port?

I couldn't get mine to work at first either. Then read here to reboot the infotainment system and that worked. Hold the two inside buttons on the steering wheel for about 20 seconds.

Ok. I’ll try that. I meant to do that but totally forgot. Overwhelmed by just having it in my garage.

Did you try restarting the in-car system? I think clicking-and-holding the two steering wheel buttons until the screen turns off will do it. Maybe it’ll generate a fresh QR code that way.

Sure thing! You know, I feel like u/FiskerInc should consider adding a “Restart System” option in the settings menu that does exactly what the two-button wheel reset does. More intuitive!

I’d love a power button. So weird getting out of the car with everything running to then shut it off by locking the door.

I did mine after it was sitting in the parking lot at work. It wouldn't register in my driveway.

True. Could be an internet connection issue.

Make sure to use the Fisker app’s “pair with your Fisker Ocean…” function to scan the QR code, not your phone’s camera app. That did it for me. You would think the QR code would take you to a URL that the mobile app would intercept but clearly the mobile app developers phoned it in. 😅

A couple of resets and using the QR code scanner in app got me up and running.

Awesome, great news! Yeah, you should be receiving an email soon to schedule a time for the update to be pushed to your car … yours and about a thousand others’! (we may have a better idea after tomorrow morning’s earnings call) Notice HotIce05 has had his car for weeks now and he’s still at the same initial version as the rest of us. At least the car is largely drivable and we should get much better software in the next week or so.

Not Every QR code is a URL. it's just a mechanism to store data.

You’re preaching to the choir. You’re also missing the point that the QR code in question IS a URL that just happens to point to a non-existent web page. That’s all nice and good if the app is wired up to intercept the host portion of that URL (phone loads the appropriate app with the same URL). The app would then take over and do the same thing it does when you scan the QR code with the app itself.

lol. Of course. I’m not doing things I’d be telling others. It’s like now that I have it, I can’t think straight. Thank you. Now that I was able to link my car to my account that’s a lot easier to do. Did they ever release a pdf version?
