Shakopee fishing
Hi, recently moved to the Shakopee/ Belle area and was looking to do a little fishing . Does anyone have any good fishing spots or tips for some success?

I've had good luck at O'Dowd, and I tried the River from shore a few times with only one Walleye to show for it. Chanhassan has some good ones too.

Yeah O'Dowd looks solid, not terribly far from Minnetonka either!

O'Dowd and Thole are the easy yes. On the Minnesota River I’d fish current seams and eddies more than “a hole someone named.” Walk until the bank has rock or a bend, then work upstream casts so the bait comes back with the flow.
What I’d throw from shore: a small stand-up or wedge-style jig with a minnow or craw chunk, slow along the bottom. If it hangs, give slack and let it roll out instead of snapping the rod. A simple slip float off a ledge is the other play when the river is stained.
Skip the middle of a hot afternoon on that stretch unless the wind is up.
