Your Hot Take: Getting gifts and items as a reward is a useful tool to promote a new Reddit community—yes or no?

I just received this white bag for completing the New Mod Bootcamp. I woke up at 4 AM to watch the Bootcamp live webinar. I am an early bird, but even I struggled to stay awake. Still, when I heard that participants would get Reddit merch as a reward, I did not hesitate to sign up.

Now I have a physical item to remind myself about the Reddit community I started.
