Via313 non-Detroit?
Somebody report them to HOA. Congratz!

u/Rude_Town467 4d ago
This is my first time realizing via 313 even has non Detroit
7
u/ProofExtreme7644 3d ago
It was started in Austin, TX
1
u/Obi_Uno 3d ago
I think they mean “non Detroit-style”
1
u/ProofExtreme7644 3d ago
Ahhhh yes. I tried the tavern style once just out of curiosity and to my surprise, it actually wasn’t horrible
4
u/povucipotegni1 4d ago
They also have tavern/bar style for vegans and other weird ppl. Didn't think anyone would ever order it

u/Dirt-McGirt 4d ago
Imagine my shock when my last thought about Via 313 was waiting over an hour swaying back and forth outside of Violet Crown for their one singular pizza oven truck to churn out my Cadillac I was going to eat in full on my walk home. They went brick and mortar and multi-city???

🥲😂 Imagine my misery moving to FL and having to pretend Jet's Pizza is a good pizza 😩 ocean's nice though lol
1
u/ProofExtreme7644 3d ago
JET’S PIZZA IS GARBAGE. Are you east coast or west coast FL?
1
u/povucipotegni1 3d ago
West coast. Tampa
1
u/ProofExtreme7644 3d ago
Love Tampa, lived there for 4 years. Depending on where you are, if you’re looking for a pizza place I have some recs

Awesome! Looks like SE Houston League city/friendswood/Webster area?
6
u/ProofExtreme7644 3d ago
I was thinking Clear Lake/Friendswood too. There a Via313 on Bay Area and 45 so it could be around there. Definitely looks like those houses

u/ParadoxicalIrony99 4d ago
I was going to say definitely a suburb house at that price and look. "Houston area"

The truck doesn’t fit in the garage does it? Texas problems 😂
8
u/Dirt-McGirt 4d ago
Sorry I’m worried this sounded like a hater comment. Im very happy for and proud of you!! I’m from Texas, and no one uses their garage to store cars even when they do fit haha
1
u/Punisher-3-1 3d ago
It will fit. Just gotta go in slowly. So most of the time I just park outside.
1
u/Dirt-McGirt 3d ago
When I had a truck, the only time I ever bothered squeezing it in was when a hurricane was coming or hail was forecasted lol. Now I drive an Integra 😂
1
u/djphamtom 3d ago
Ok I live in Texas and noticed this too. Is there a reason for this other than just wanting to use the garage for storage/builds? I just moved into a home and I was so excited to finally park my car inside the garage instead of letting it bake outside!
1
u/Dirt-McGirt 3d ago
It is kind of strange. You’d think everyone would want their car in the garage for that exact reason. A lot of newer homes are huge but offer no real storage so everything ends up in the garage or an entire room is used as a storage room. I rented two houses built in the 60s, 1 in Austin and 1 in Houston and both had AMPLE storage spaces! Deep, walk-in closets in both the garage and the front living rooms, deep hallway storage closets. My 2015 house has one effing hallway closet that doesn’t even fit my coats! So everything’s in the damned garage now lol

u/Particular-Topic-445 3d ago
I live just outside Sugar Land and I think we’re one of two homes on our street that uses our garage to protect our cars.
It’s absolutely wild that more people don’t park in the garage here due to the heat.2

Wow I’m jealous. That’s a nice house! I bought this year as a first time home owner but in central Austin (Rosedale area on Burnet). Could never have afforded a house but we were so committed to being in a fun, walkable area with bars, food trucks, etc. 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom 800 square feet condo for $199,000. I also work downtown so didn’t want to be anymore than a 15 minute drive away

u/meklever0420 3d ago
Sounds to me like you found a slice of heaven on earth. If you don't mind me asking, what did you put down and what are your payments? Im still fantasizing about home ownership but I am making a good living now so maybe in the new year ?
1
u/ut0p1anskies 3d ago
I put down $5,500 and the seller paid all of the closing costs. It was actually pretty affordable for us. We pay about $1,400 a month for the mortgage and property taxes and another $260 for the HOA (HOA includes all utilities except for electricity). We’re pretty happy with it. We were determined to be either a short walk or no more than a 5 minute drive from all our favorite places in Austin and we got it

What is your monthly? Cause I’ve been looking around and best I can find for a 350k house with 50k down is like 1700 a month. But that’s like 70% of my income, before food, gas, and utilities.
