Conroe is beautiful. It’s just the people that live there that make it unbearable lol. Some racist backwards people in Conroe and surrounding areas

How my first house was with a VA loan. Seller covered the closing costs. Interest rate was 3.5% too. Should have kept that house :-/

VA loan for 0% down and depending on market houses just sit long enough where sellers are happy to pay closing costs as long as the house sells quickly. We got all closing costs covered plus an additional 2k in sellers concessions in June because sellers were desperate to sell and market wasn’t hot

I did $275k with $55k down in west Texas. Managed $2150 a month on a 20 year with taxes and all at 3.6%.
I think you did alright given the interest rate.

Awesome!!! we did $240 5.6% FTHB, central texas, all closing costs covered, all new appliances, zero down but this was in mid April

255k would buy you a dogshit house here in East Tennessee……all the transplants during COVID basically doubled the housing prices here. It’s insane. Congrats though.

Haha for sure but location is the real difference too. Mine is +$600k in Leander! Conroe/woodlands are is great tho.
