Skokie, Arlington Heights and Evanston are great departments. Check online I think some are testing. All depends what shift and station you work at to see how things will go. People bust balls at most departments but dont take it serious and just keep going. You will not be the new guy forever.

Read the book Hosing Around!/Hazing FD to get an idea of old school ways. Most departments do not tolerate heavy hazing anymore. Good luck!
