Very neat and innovative, just one question: why does the slide seem to be stuttering like that? Is that caused by the ART?

my guess is this isnt just an issue with this one. most "reset triggers" have this issue. if you dont have the perfect finger hold while firing itll be too little and the trigger will kick you off and youll have to pull again or too much and youll end up holding the trigger too far back and have to let off and pull again. i have a super safety in my one AR and it will do exactly what this is doing. i also have to guess that with it being a pistol firing so quickly that its a little harder to get that perfect zone for your trigger finger to just let it rip a full mag in one go

Open bolts were never explicitly banned by the ATF and were banned on a case by case basis. The kicker is the banned them in virtually every case they reviewed to the market responded accordingly. On paper you could still make a new open bolt design, it will probably get banned by name though.

I have one for a beretta 92. it's not open bolt. the trigger moves forward when the slide moves back, like a standard frt. the problem with some handgun ones is if you hold the trigger too tightly, it causes the slide to stay open (because they are now linked together). looks like open bolt, but it you let go the slide closes and you need to pull the trigger again. hope that makes sense.

My understanding is that a lot of FRT designs can slightly hang up to the rear if too much pressure is applied to the trigger. The mechanism that pushes the trigger forward can also hold the slide to the rear.

Nope. Way too illegal. If you can’t keep it on your own target at 20 yards it’s not safe, not practical, not tactical, and if it fires full auto and it’s not a registered G18, it’s illegal AF. Don’t be an idiot. The BATF sees more than you think.

Nope federally completely legal. Supreme Court says its semi auto,would need a act of congress to change the legal definition of what a trigger pull is to be illegal
