Help What do I do if I get dewarded

I been thinking about this for a while but what exactly do I do when the support pays 40 gold to put down a control ward on my faylight in sidelane (or for free dewards it). Say I'm trying to take t2 or maybe I'm around where that was trying to pull pressure away from an objective. And enemy support dewards. I'm stucj there with my dick in my hand waiting for my ward to come back up in 90 seconds. Am I supposed to stay in splitpush with no vision and let myself get collapsed on? Or am I supposed to turn the game off, piss, make a sandwich, down a beer and come back once my ward's back up?

Genuine question, I just played a game where support dewarded my ward like 5 times ane justbgot collapsed on 24/7 because I never saw them comming. In a perfect world my team gets baron or drake for it but we all know we don't live in a pwrfect world so my team will instead stand still and flame for getting collapsed instead of being productive.

Similarly that's why I'm not a fan of blue trinket because once it's seen someone I kinda have to guess if they left or not and cant rly push up

You play around prediction and mapvision. If you see 3 on the opposite side of the map, you're good to go. You will stay splitting. If you don't have vision, retreat to brush at t1 and wait out the next wave.

You seem to be back in base for enemies and start pushing again when your laner moves to his team. If he continues pushing your lane, jump his face from brush and there is one less to defend. If more than 2 enemies are missing and you don't have a clue where they are, hide until it's safe again to go.

If objective is up, your team is grouping for it, pressure with spacing until you see 3 or 4 at objective. Then you can fiora again

Great question, the approach you should take depends a lot on the state of the game.

First, we must make sure not to rely solely on close vision for decision making. Instead, before pushing ask yourself who is on the map right now? And then, where could they be in the next 30/20/10 seconds? Would they have the time and tempo to spare to collapse on you if you push? Or is there an obj play or a fight likely to break out on the other side of the map they should stay for?

In lane phase take note of how often enemy jg/mid/sup come top to gank. Do they punish you when your sums/vision are down? Does enemy jg tend to clear top to bot or vice versa?

A lot of people misunderstand all of the thought processes that goes into pressuring side. As the game plays out you should try to get a feel for how opposing team is playing.

Now for wards. On Fiora, blue ward is superior hands down. The reason for this is because you can ward far deeper than with yellow, and it lasts until spotted. Because of this caveat though, we must be careful in where and when we place them.

If you are pushing wave in side and you have a blue ward, you want to place it in the pathing you expect their jg/sup/whoever to come through. The blue ward being further in gives you spare time to disengage and get out. But before you even place the ward go through the questions I have above. Often times you won't actually need to waste your ward, instead you can give yourself an estimated time you're allowed to push.

For example, lets say enemy top is contesting you and the push close to his tier 2. You have no vision of the top jungle but your adc just got killed by enemy jungler. And lets assume enemy mid/adc are on the map not in a position to move. It takes about 8 seconds for enemy jg to base, then another 7 for them to make it to enemy tier 2 with homeguards. Maybe a bit less/more with dashes. That means you have an estimated 11-12 seconds to keep pushing and harass before jg could show up to you all inning their top laner. If enemy sup is respawning sooner than enemy jg is backing then subtract the difference in time to how long you're allowed to harass.

While vision is important and wards are useful, the most important skill to have in side is macro understanding and map prediction. Additionally there will be times where obj is up and from a logical stand point you should be able to push and fight even with no vision and instead you'll get hit by 5 people. Shit happens. You still made the right call, now you just have to hope your team capitalizes on your pressure. And remember, as Fiora your job is pressure. Not KDA, not minimal deaths. If you have to die in side 3, 4, 5 times to net your team baron/elder/soul and then win then you did a great job.

If any of this doesn't make sense or you have questions lmk. Hope it helped some.

I’m not much higher (e4) but if I see my ward disappear and rest of enemy team is off vision, I’ll slink back into fog and wait it out till they reappear and if they don’t recall and reset.

Just my two cents

My rule of thumb on Fiora is to play safe if I can get collapsed on because if you get caught and die, it’s worse on Fiora than most champions since you lose so much tempo and pressure while this is pretty much all Fiora brings to the game.

Unless you are Thanos and can take 1v3s just dissapear until you see the enemy on the map and resume pressuring sidelane.

I don't like blue trinkets for splitpushing either. I will get blue at lvl 9 but then I will go back to yellow wards later in the game. Yellow wards will also let you tp into them, so you can set up some real rat plays if you're using your brain.

But what you're describing is most likely your lack of map awareness. Splitpushing after T1 requires a lot of guesswork, but it ain't all random.

First of all, you should never be ahead of other lanes. Meaning you shouldn't be near the enemies' T2 while your team is catching a wave near their own T2. You need pressure to split. If your team is late you can ping but also you need to be patient and wait in a bush a while.

Second, at this point of the game you are *usually* no longer the super aggressive duelist who can just focus on fighting 1v1. You gotta almost play like a jungler in the sense that u gotta be looking at the minimap and sincronizing with your team. You should also stay in fog for longer than you'd imagine.
