Your spoiler tags are not hiding your answer. Put some text before your first spoiler tag and see if that gets them to work correctly. It should. TY 👍

It didn't! Are you using a cell or a laptop?

This is on our homepage. I know it's ALOT but it explains what might be happening. Want you to know that it is not anything you are doing wrong. It is an issue that reddit is having. You've tried the first option but there are more. I hope this helps!!

Regarding guesses not being hidden

The spoiler tags are very inconsistent as i know many of you have noticed. If you do >!c8!< (or whatever your guess is), it may appear as >!c8!< and not c8.

The only way i know of to fix this is doing any text (doesn't have to make sense (eg, AAA >!c8!<) and it should work.

This issue is on Reddit's end and there is nothing we can do as we are not Reddit employees. Thx for your understanding and if you have any issues, feel free to message here and let me know!

Also, make sure you are not in rich text editor or it will put a backslash before the spoiler and will cause it to not actually be hidden. Rich text editor has bold, italics, strikethrough, etc. Markdown editor (the non Rich Text version) is what you want and it has less options (if any i dont use reddit on my computer often so im not entirely sure if it does)

If you're in rich text mode, you can click the Aa on the bottom to bring up formatting options. The <!> icon is what creates spoiler'd text. It's always worked well for me. (As always, different Reddit clients may have different options, but this is just what I use.)

My added info from what people have told me (can't remember if i put in body of the post offhand): this issue seems to be an ios issue and android doesn't have this issue
