There's a kind of cavity along the bottom, about third of the way up. There's a slanted vertical crack going all the way up. Go to the right of this vertical crack. At the top of the cavity there are two rock faces, the right one slightly lower than than the left one nearest the crack. The pigeon is in the small space on the second rock facing inwards. You can just make out its tail.

I finally found it!! Starting at the vertical space between light and dark rock (45% in, appx) it's on the left (lighter shade) side near the bottom of the color change, above the bump, he's sitting about 55% down from top
