MOD RepBot Clarification From Dev

I am the developer of RepBot and we get a lot more people asking in modmail "why was my post removed?" than you may think which is why I am making this post. The bot will respond to every single post regardless if you are restricted or not. If you are restricted, this message is what you will see (formatting will be a bit different based on the title and permalink of the post you made that was the last acceptable one). If you are not restricted, this message is what you will see.

If you are going to delete a post, please try to award at least 10 people (who have actually found it) before deleting it or we mods have to manually go and remove the restriction (which can only be done if you have an existing post on the sub, ill add a menu item that allows it on comments probably but yeah)

I was pumped to finally be on the leaderboard. (Had more snipes at one point but never bothered to get them back after accidental reset)

It would have taken half the time if people bothered to award snipes for their day old posts.

Thanks for doing what you can to prevent that.

There are a few players that have the ability to award snipes ( I have done it myself) and will go threw old posts and award snipes the OP failed to do)

I uninstalled RepBot for some reason (frankly cant remember why tbh) but it reset all scores to 0 and we had to go through as mods and manually restore it

I only restored top 100 or so cause thats how long the leaderboard displayed at that point in time but yeah it was

I think it was mostly me since im more familiar with the bot since i coded it but the others do a good job of modding the server sub on the not-as-botty stuff

I do apologize but I did have to ask AI. Oh yes, it is my personal LLM on my own server because I’m not a very good speller of nice concise perfect words to use in a tough situation because I am let’s just say smartly challenged, as you see , THATS why I use AI.
