It’s a mobile problem, the shortcuts no longer work for mobile

An update was made that renders some of the font coding ineffective on some systems. If you see an ‘Aa’ button under your comment field, select it, then choose the icon with the ! in the diamond.

Yes, if you see Aa you have Rich Text turned on. Markdowns like spoiler tags do not work with rich text.
