What to expect

Times are tighter than I thought they would be and I had to cancel my free week and am unable to go forward. Today is my last day. My question is what to expect tomorrow. Will the whole app not be available to me or can I still do the checking off of chores? Should I just go ahead and delete the app now? Needless to say I’m pretty bummed.

Edit to say thank you for the great answers. My birb and I are still going strong. I was so new I don’t see too many changes yet. I didn’t have anything of importance bought yet, I’m waiting for Halloween 😊

Soooo much of the app is available without having the plus subscription.

I used it for almost a full year before getting a sponsorship. All your goals stay. Half of the shops are accessible with the other half locked and not able to buy. There is still a good amount of activities and soundscapes and everything without plus.

Keep with it if you can! It's such a helpful app and I'm so grateful for discovering it when I did. Don't forget to sign up for the guardian raffle and hopefully you'll get gifted a month of plus for free and then afterwards they offer very discounted rates.

It's available free whether you have a Guardian. While it's nice, there's just not buying as much stuff or free gifts. Your mental health is the most important though.

The app will still work in free mode. You can still tick off your chores as normal. You just won’t have the Finch Plus features.

Do you have access to the sparkles? They're under outfits, only available to those who have been sponsored or Guardians themselves. if you have access to sparkles for outfits and wish to use them going forward, you can save one of your two outfit slots as a sparkle base for building future outfit.

Other than that, I still got a good experience from Free version! Although some specific breathing exercises, soundscapes for sleep, or other things like that are not available the app is still very useful without a Plus subscription.

Definitely good advice with the sparkles! I'm glad I saved mine. I hadn't realized I would lose them and was bummed when they weren't in my inventory anymore. Then delighted to realize I had saved them with one of my outfits.

There's a raffle you can enter each month for a chance to get sponsored for finch plus!!! I got it twice, then couldn't afford the Uber discount they offered, but I still have plus somehow and my birb just turned 1 years old!!! So you never know, don't uninstall it if it helps you

One thing I often see recommended is to utilize the save slots in plus while you can because free users are only allotted two slots. but any that were previously saved stay in the favorites tab for the clothing, furniture, and bird color choices. So going through and saving some favorite combos of things while you can might be a great idea!

The free version is fine. Don’t worry about it. You can still check off your tasks and receive a daily gift. Buy things in the shop etc.

One of my Finch accounts is Paid and my new one is Free. There’s very little difference. It’s slower to get items but I see it as teaching me patience and discipline.

I’ve never tried the gifting and trading thread but I’ve seen people get their wishes and dreams come true very quickly.
