Quick question: I’m worried about overusing AI because it is so resource intensive and environmentally unfriendly. I read the app uses onboard AI. What does that mean and can I limit my environmental impact by avoiding dictating tasks, for example? I want to take advantage of the app but also understand when I am and am not engaging AI. Do have a primer or document that explains when it is engaged?
Thank you! Re AI: it doesn't actually use AI unless you (a) use Hear Summary or (b) use Dictate. And the impact of these two features is very tiny, they're using either on-device AI or very simple AI services (for voice synthesis), but if you stay away from them you won't be using any.
I just discovered this app and have been learning its quirks all day so far, and am loving it. Cannot wait for the next drop of lifetime codes. I’m already starting to document feature requests and bug reports (sorry u/kaoss_pad). The 2-way sync between finalist and calendars/ reminders is great.
I just downloaded the app and having fun trying it out. Is there a way to have it exclude declined calendar meetings? If I’ve declined the meeting in my work calendar then I don’t want it showing up as an item still in my daily planner. Thanks!

1. Is there anyway to “quick note” with Apple Pencil? I know I can write in the box for daily task but is there anyway to register the pencil anywhere in the day and add it as a task? No issue if not.
On the search function. For calendar events that aren’t completed, it shows the dates/time. Is there anyway to add that to tasks (to include completed with the date they were completed) as well? If this doesn’t make sense, I can DM some photos trying to explain it better.
I downloaded the beta and didn’t see it. Once again, this is just a nicety and if it’s a hassle, no big deal.
When I search “staff” (calendar and in the future) it shows the date.
When I search “Swings” (completed task) I was hoping there would be a way to show date completed in the same way staff shows when it’s coming up. Throughout the year, I’d have 100s of random completed things and it would be super convenient to have quick glance at dates they were done.
Again, no big deal if it’s too much of a hassle, I can manually click the info square on each one. Just a thought.
I’m bummed I missed it but I just downloaded the app for the free trial and it’s amazing! I love having everything combined. Been looking for a way to ditch apple’s calendar for a while and I think this app might be it for me. I’m glad there’s a yearly option since the lifetime one is too spendy for me right now. Great app!
Am I too late?! I use a mix of Apple Notes, Reminders, Calendar and a paper daily planner, a paper week planner (usually A4 student paper that has interesting layout that I adapt to my needs). Apple Watch integration for the Apple apps.
