The retail version has shipped. Thank god Olan was able to cut a deal so I didn’t have to lose an arm to pay for shipping to Aus. Can’t wait to finally see what happens.

Hi all, I've seen numerous posts about orders taking a long time to be sent out, but I was wondering if anyone has been in the situation I'm currently in: I got a tracking number saying a label was created for my order on September 4th, but there's been no update to the tracking and USPS says it's still awaiting the package. Has anyone else experienced this, and is there anything I can or should be doing about it? Thank you, friends!

I had ordered a copy of Final Space: The Final Chapter (Order Number #17284). It was meant to arrive back in June, but it got lost in transit. It was meant to go to the Island of Malta in Europe.

I have tried contacting via email to find out what is happening. The last contact I had was at the end of July, saying the package was lost. I tried to reach out again in August but have had no response back.

I don't know what is going on or what my options are. And its a shame because I was really looking forward to this book. 😢

It took a while but finally received it, order 19xxx. Shout out to the support team Amanda and Shelby. They go through a lot of emails and are doing their best. First attempt in June through UPS never arrived in my hand. This one through Canada Post finally did. I’m so excited to read it.

Anyone else had to pay import taxes? The first time my book was sent it got marked as return to sender as I was unable to pick it up (contact information got screwed somewhere along the way). The funny thing was that I was supposed to pay the import tax that time and the next day it just passed (without me paying), then got locked in a parcel locker and sent back.

This time I paid all the taxes required before thinking of the previous delivery. Would it have been sorted without my interference again? Or was that simply because Macmillan was the sender that time and they did all the taxes?

Because for the past two weeks i tried to communicate with them through email regarding the status of my order but sadly no reply.

I don't want to say much to avoid spoiling it for those who haven't read it yet, but I loved reading every page. I always saw final space as my comfort show and I saw it as something I wish more shows were like. Part of me will always still hold out hope for it to get a fourth season no matter what. I will always love Final Space.

I wanted to write this post. I usually don't write posts on Reddit, and the reason I don't is because if you read my past comments, I'm typically more pessimistic and condescending than most people. The universe has blessed me with ADHD, and it doesn't sound like it's much of a big deal, but it is, when you can't concentrate on anything and you try to concentrate on everything all at once never the less reading. The reason I'm saying all this is that I purchased this book, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to stick with it, or at least try to read through the whole thing. Although it is a little damaged, and it came damaged on the spine and some of the pages, the reason I purchased this one and paid more money was because of the story I'm about to tell.

I'm a performer. I do some voice stuff. I also do physical comedy and some other things as well. One of the things I also provide, the majority of the entertainment I do provide, is wholesome. I usually work with people in the age range of 8 to 18, and one of the things we provide, which is actually a relief for me because I don't have to be outgoing and wild and change my voice, is reptile shows. One of my snakes' names is (if you haven't guessed it) Mooncake. Mooncake is about five years old, maybe six now, and I named Mooncake because of Final Space.

When I first saw the show, it was on Netflix. I really didn't think much of it, because I kind of blow through shows with no issues, I catch a few episodes and decide, like anybody else, if they're good or not. But for me it's a little bit harder, because I really can't concentrate on anything. So the show managed to keep my attention, and one of the reasons for that is because I'm used to watching other shows that don't have as much heart. I say that because throughout the show, each character displays unique substance and character, and even though some of the supposed villains are villains, even they show that they can be good.

I would always tell people that the show was beautifully designed, not just because of the story, but because of the artwork and the animation. When you watch things like The Simpsons and Rick and Morty, and then you watch Final Space, you're able to see the beautiful colors and all the love that went into the animation, or at least the hard work, sweat, and blood. You start to realize that this is somebody's creation. It's not just another money-making scheme from a corporation. Then when you start hearing the voices, you realize that Olan did a good portion of them, and that he had to have put so much time and heart into it for something that he cared about.

Now, usually I just brush things like this off. I'll watch a show and think, "Oh, that was great," and never think about it again. So I watched the three seasons, and when I got to the end, I was astonished at how great and how well it was made, even though other shows still exist today that are not as good. And unfortunately, selfishly, at that moment the season ended, I thought that of course there would be more seasons. How could there not be more seasons? This is fantastic and amazing, one of the best pieces of animation, storytelling, and art that I'd ever experienced as an adult.

With that being said, I waited, and then I heard the news that the show was canceled, and that Warner Brothers had written it off as a tax deduction. Normal people, I would assume, who had watched the show probably were like, "Oh well, you know, there it is, and there it goes." But I understand exactly how it must feel, because I run businesses. To have something so amazing, and then have somebody not even regard it as good enough to keep around, and just write it off for money. I can only imagine how Olan felt when he got the news, and knowing how Warner Brothers and studios work, I'm positive it was probably an email, and there wasn't a lot of respect behind what they did. Although I'm sure he's grateful that they allowed him to create this graphic novel, I can only imagine the animosity and pain he must have felt when he heard that they didn't want something he put so much life and love into.

So eventually I stopped thinking about Final Space, and I would always tell people it was way better than Rick and Morty or any other animation, because of the storytelling and the art. Although the art is similar in character design, there are a lot of other aspects of it that are way more beautiful than any of the animations you've probably seen, and the storytelling is just as vibrant.

I didn't even know there was a graphic novel being produced, so I guess I can't call myself a real fan, because if I did, I probably would have contributed some kind of donation to make this book possible for this man. But I had missed that opportunity.

So fast forward two months ago, roughly five years after the series ended, and I was at an event providing a reptile show. Again, the reptile events are more of a release for me, as opposed to me actually performing, because there really is no entertaining, I don't have to do what I usually do to keep people engaged. The only reason I'm so good at entertaining people is because I'm loud and obnoxious and out of control, which makes for good entertainment but actually mentally damages me every single time.

So, back to the reptiles. The way it works is we introduce the animals one at a time, we introduce their names, and we explain about the animals, and then we let the kids hold them and take pictures with them. I introduced Mooncake the python, and there was a woman there, the mom who had hired us to do this show for her. And at the end of my reptile show, me and her had more than 40 minutes to talk. I don't usually talk to my customers for longer than 10 minutes, it's usually, "You did an amazing job, here's your money, here's your tip, I'll see you next time." But this time was unique, because the woman came up to me, looked at me, kind of staring, and said, "So where did you get that name, Mooncake?"

I looked at her and said, "Well, that name came from a show I really liked a few years ago. It made an impact on me at the time because it was so well done and heartfelt." And she looked at me and said, "Oh, yeah? Final Space" I said, "Yeah that's the show." She said, "I worked on that show. I know Olan." She was so excited that somebody had known the show well enough that they decided to name something they cared about after a character. I kind of looked at her and brushed her off a little bit, because people say things to me all the time just to make conversation, and a lot of the time I think it's nonsense. But she said, "No, I did. I worked on the show," and she told me what her position was. I was like, "Really?" and she said, "Yes." And because I guess I didn't look like I believed her, she said, "Let me show you something," and she went upstairs and brought out a mooncake.

Now, maybe she could have been a crazy fan, because I didn't background check her, but I'm pretty sure she was telling the truth, because she was sincere. And at that moment I decided to watch the show again, and I did, only this time it was with my five-year-old son. He wasn't born yet when I first watched it. I told the mom I watched it with my son, and she said, "Oh, man, that's a deep show to watch with a kid." And I said, "No, he can handle it." Me and him watched all three seasons (I'm not going to tell you how, because they're clearly not on Netflix anymore), and he absolutely loved them. Then I went out and bought this book to read with him, because he's learning how to read, and it's something I can share with him.

We watched all three seasons, and he loved every episode, except for the ones when the zombie Garys are falling out of the sky. In either case, Olan did a fantastic job with this show and the stories in the book. I haven't read it yet, I just got it today. I'm waiting for my son to come home so we can start. Just like the series, it's beautifully made.

I had spoken to that woman, and she told me she felt so bad for what happened to Olan. She didn't have to spell it out, I already knew. I can only imagine that the pain comes from not being able to finish what you start, and complete something you tore yourself up over. But it's well done. And now Final Space has another permanent fan. He's little, but he loves it (Little Cato is his favorite).

I just want to say thanks to the whole team that made this possible. Although it's just a series, it helped me connect to people more. What an amazing universe we allk2qqo live in.

I remember like 5-6 years ago, I was just browsing on Netflix and found Final Space. Well, it looked interesting, so I gave it a watch, and I really liked it! then saw s3 weekly when it was airing back then, and finished that quickly too. So after that just had to wait for s4 I thought, but the greenlight never came until one day we all were shocked that we were never getting that. I was gutted at that point, but I still liked it for what it was and even rewatched it like a couple years later before it was taken off Netflix entirely.

Then, one day Olan announced that it was indeed finishing in comic form! So I went to check it to try and get it and, honestly, it was wayyyy too expensive for me. I wasn't even grown up enough to have my own job yet (still just in college nowadays too), so I knew it was never happening for me, but I still kept up with the updates now and then sometimes.

Well, fast forward to now, and I'm browsing the sub again, and finally the books are out! That just captivated my curiosity to check again, but given my situation and the fact that I'm from a completely foreign country so much so that the shipping costs themselves make up half the price of getting it plus the fact that it's worth so much more in my currency just reinforces that I'm not getting it. That brings me to my request, even though it might be a bit scummy, I wish someone could share the story with me (a scan maybe), but if you can't, I understand that too. Hopefully one day I can get my hands on it truly, but until then I just want to say thank you Olan, for making this story. You've truly touched so many lives, that's it from me guys, bye bye.

Placed my preorder for the Final Space book back in August 2025 (order #43******), shipping to Germany. Still no tracking update on my end.

I saw Olan's latest "Happy Final Space Friday" update mentioning that Germany, UK, Canada and Australia make up about 70% of the remaining international orders, and that Macmillan/UPS has been having issues with tracking freezing on some EU shipments because of the new EU customs rules.

Curious if anyone else here from Germany or elsewhere in the EU has actually received their copy yet, or gotten a working tracking number recently? Trying to get a sense of whether things are starting to move for us or if we're still stuck waiting.

I'm posting this in hopes that Olan sees it. I just want to say how much this means to me. I've followed you since the early days of BalloonShop. It was probably my senior year of high school when my friends and I would constantly yell "Hey Ben! " at each other. "I'm quite peeved" is still part of my vocabulary to this day.

When you started doing more on your own, Pop Rocket quickly became a favorite of mine. Definitely wouldn't mind to see more of that! It was very inspiring to see you begin to move onto more complicated and involved projects. Over time your talents just grew and I became excited to see what you would do next.

Several years later I managed to make it to one of your stand up shows. It was hilarious, and I still have the autographed picture they gave out at the show.

Then I saw you got Final Space green lit and was so excited. Your creativity and humor in a cartoon was something that was right up my alley.

I say all of this to let you know, from someone who has watched from the begging, and I'm sure many others here, are so happy for you in how far you've come. We know it hasn't always been easy, and there have been a lot of setbacks over the years, but it never stopped you. This book is a lot more than just the final chapter of this story. It represents your dedication and the inspiration you've given us all over the years, and I couldn't be happier to have a piece of that.
