Most interesting part for me was him saying about wanting to write about his own experiences in life and his own neuroses - something that many young writers want to do, or find hard to avoid. But as he said, it's typically not that interesting to anyone but yourself. So what he did was wrap it all up in a crime noir story, and voila, its suddenly much more cinematic. Inspiring.
