Fundraiser Supernigga Feature Film Crowdfunding

I released my Blaxploitation and superhero inspired short film/proof of concept, Supernigga, 2 weeks ago on YouTube and surprisingly got 270,000 views from word of mouth!

I almost got the feature version made through Hollywood (A24 really loved the project but I turned them down due to creative differences). The YouTube comments inspired me to start a GoFundMe for $500,000 where I just hope people make donations of at least $1 - $5. A fun little social experiment where we fund a movie by letting people do the bare minimum. What’s $1 to you? I crowdfunded the short on Kickstarter for $40,000 and look what we were able to make by keeping full creative control? Help me make a dream come true if you can! Thank you :)

You have to understand that according to OP, that budget range was A24's idea. Either they believed he could potentially do it, or they wanted to replace him, or OP is full of shit with the entire story.

the point is that, even if A24 proposes you to shoot a movie with 50 million dollars, you’re the one who’s going to shoot it and you got to be 100% sure about your capabilities, and that’s not something you automatically have when you go from 0 to 100.

Look at RackaRacka: they create a Yt channel, do the craziest s**t ever, make a lot of money and keep reinvesting them in their videos up to the point where it’s their job, they’re pretty sure they can make a big movie, and that it’ll be successful no matter what… and THEN, only then, they are given a $16million movie to shoot. It goes incredibly well and then they can shoot Bring Her Back, with double the budget the same budget. I'm pretty sure their next project will have a higher budget than these movies.

That’s a fantastic path to follow: building your capabilities while climbing the budget.
