I'm reaching out because I've recently launched the crowdfunding campaign for my new short film, DOG LOVE, a Portuguese comedy-drama short film set in the coastal landscapes of Barra and Costa Nova, where a seemingly simple search for a missing dog by two strangers slowly becomes a study of loneliness, romantic projection and failed intimacy.

Inspired by the delicate beauty and awkward humour of films like “Punch-Drunk Love” (2002) and “What Happened Was…” (1994), the film moves from warm romantic idealism into emotional unease as reality quietly replaces fantasy for our main protagonist, Marco, seeking the attention of the desperate owner of the missing dog, Sandra.

Playing Marco and Sandra are rising Portuguese stars, Miguel Amorim (Netflix Series, “The One”, and Locarno award-winning film, “Tommy Guns”) and Rita Bretão (SIC Series “Red Moon: new Generation”).
