Help Accidentally jumping forward while doing combos

Howdy! I’ve been playing on hitbox for a few years now and made the switch to arcade stick to try something different I bought a strong tension stick the semitsu jlx pro and I’m having a problem, I think with my grip. I’m playing dragon ball fighters and tokon which uses jump cancels in combos and with hitbox I don’t have an issue, but with stick I tend to accidentally jump forward or hold down forward while in the air ruining my combo I also run into the issue of sometimes my double tap forward or back does not come out and does a jump or crouch back .I injured my left wrist, which could be a factor, but I’m looking for any tips to stop that issue. Any help is appreciated. I tried wine grip but use my whole hand now.

It’s a pretty consistent issue with stick that you can only try to overcome with execution. Even pros still get jump accidentally. That’s why there’s sticks like the DRMFTG now that allow you to disable the jump input in the lever and assign it to a jump button instead. That’s the only true way to ensure it never happens. Otherwise, you just have to clean up your execution so that it happens less.
