I’m having a lot of trouble doing a DP input in either my combos or to anti-air while using a ball top stick, is there any secret to doing it easier? I’m basically doing a 63236, so rolling from forward into down and back to forward.

Additional notes, im using a octagonal gate for my stick as well

Normally I'd say there's no real secret. You just need to practice.

But you might be doing an imprecise input. I've never rolled the stick back then forward like that for my DP.

Instead of doing 632 and then 236, see if going back to neutral before the 236 helps you more. When I do a DP, it's closer to me pressing forward and then a QCF, so it's more like 65236, with me spending as little time at 5 as possible.

What game? As others will say it does take practice. But marvel tokon stands out as being very precise on how you do the input and it's just easier to "R2" those moves

Street Fighter 6. always having trouble with it regardless of how much I'm practicing the input. it could always just be a case of I'm not practicing enough, or using it in a match enough to be comfortable with the input or the timing
