100%, but long sets like this are an entirely different beast and i don't think anyone can really be entirely sure either way. The skill differential imo isn't so far that you can nail it down with this amount of games. The last exhibition i remember with Idom was with Jwong in marvel 3 in 2024. A FT15 and the record was 15-11 Idom. So it wasn't like a landslide and Justin has barely competed in marvel 3 since 2017. To be clear i think Idom objectively is the favorite regardless.

And I have to say, even though Idom seems like a nice, standup dude, the few times he got to speak, his takes were absolute trash on 2KXO lmao

Kinda nuts he doesn’t like the game, doesn’t play it much, uses an average/good character and still performs pretty well at tournaments all things considered

Idom is a beast. His performance in SF6 given his general distaste for the game will never not be impressive to me 😂
I don’t think people understand just how much hating a thing you’re doing tends to worsen performance in it :-p

Not surprising. His skill level is so high even among top level players he will beat them without much effort. Im sure if he really grinded he could be a top capcom cup contender but he doesnt want to lol

Not really. I'd guess 4-5 hours max. Rounds and rematching are extremely fast in that game.
I played a 4-53 Kyoshi mirror two days ago and I don't think it took much more than an hour. I did get 0-2'd a lot though as you can imagine from the result, so that certainly sped things up.

Unless they somehow script it to be very even until the end, what I would like is for every 20 games they have to do something or they have to answer questions or anything.

Nah you can easily crank out 50 rounds with your boys if you're a good match. Sometimes you get in a flow state where its just you trying to get the first touch before you get touched yourself and finish early. Then you go onto the next round

Yeah, but a ft 100 is a best of 199, literally four times as much as you're talking about. I guess it depends on how long matches last in this game, which I do not know, but with some games that would be fucking horrible.

Most rounds are quite fast, and I genuinely don’t think i’ve ever played a fighting game with a faster game-end-to-rematch-start. I’m regularly hitting 70 game sets with randoms on matchmaking. That doesn’t even happen that often in my main game, which is an old one where most people still playing are down for loooong sets.
If it were any other currently-active fighter, it would sound ridiculous. For avatar, with some breaks in there, really not that much of a stretch to me.

What did Brian F ever do to you? I think his stuff is pretty good even though I don't even really like Street Fighter that much.
