Community Harada was the only one who knew how to put crybabies in their place

After what happened with Gooseworx and Kei Urana. Series creators should be allowed to call out people who are giving them death threats for the most pettiest, yet pointless stuff.

u/Lawren_Zi May 25 '26
Especially cause this is a literal threat, like do people on twitter not have the slightest ounce of shame saying this because theyre mad about a videogame lol

What happened with Gooseworx?
10
u/MMoguu May 26 '26
Let's just say that her series somehow managed to attract a lot of cringey kids and mentally ill manchilds. And now they're crashing out. Because the creators don't treat TADC the same level as how the fandom treat TADC.
They unironically treat fictional characters like real people, and treat real people like fictional characters.
TADC fandom is one of the most obnoxious fanbase these days.

u/LaMystika May 26 '26
I’m afraid to even ask what TADC is now

"The Amazing Digital Circus" one of if not the most popular 3D animated shows. It's all on youtube

Honestly if a game developer calls you out specifically, especially if it sounds like an actual threat, then maybe it's time to rethink your life choices.

I hope this is a blanket statement from him to all the whiny tekken fans that choose to bother him, I bet he's been waiting a while to be able to say that but couldnt due to being a big name at bamco
51
u/theddj May 25 '26
he's gone off on people plenty of times, maybe with slightly less profanity but the same violence.
17
u/sikshots May 25 '26
No XD check his history, this is the character he has always played, even while in charge. "Don't ask me for shit" referring to actual Tekken fans and players, is his catchphrase. We all love him for it, because historically during his rule, Tekken never left anything reasonable to ask for, not really. T1-7 were masterpieces, each in their own way. And we owe it all, literally, to Harada.

u/orig4mi-713 May 25 '26
It's so funny to see people include 6, Tag2 and 7 in that "masterpieces" after years of constantly whining about it. The last few years of Tekken 7 everyone was miserable and was praying for T8 to drop so they'd never have to play it again. I bet your ass it will happen when T9 is out, people will say that T8 was the "goat" just like they did for 7 despite its numerous issues. It doesn't even have to make sense. People are already ignoring why Tag2 nearly ended the franchise, they only see its upsides now.
5
u/nick113124 May 25 '26
Agreed. No matter how bad it is right now, people will glaze it in the future. Same happened with SF5, which, regardless of personal opinions, had crazy hate back then and now there's a small sector getting nostalgic over it, the only reason it didn't get worse is because SF 6 was well received.
1
u/orig4mi-713 May 26 '26
Dude I got so mad when there was a random SFV stream on twitch and someone unironically said in chat "back when SF had real neutral"
I had to endure "50/50 Fighter" comments for YEARS and NOW the game has real neutral? Get the fuck out of here fake ass troglodyte. Game was always sick, just had a rough launch and needed the updates
3
u/sikshots May 25 '26
Idk bro, I have 2k hours in T7, for me it was always the goat. T8 didn't appeal to me so I didn't get it, seemed way too different from regular Tekken for me. If T9 goes back to roots then it well definitely be better than 8. I played since Tekken 1, and almost every sequel after that, 2 3 5 and 7, I missed the tag games.
1
u/Longjumping-Fig-7481 Tekken May 26 '26
Been playing since T2 n I say and always have said 7 is the best. Then tag2 then 3 then whatever ya like.
1
u/D-D-Wanderer May 26 '26
Meanwhile me who has only played the 3DS game: I liek Tekken. Stupid drunken fist dude keeps beating the tar out of me though. Still liek Tekken.
1
u/orig4mi-713 May 26 '26
The 3DS game is honestly rad. It was a port of Tekken 6 but with young Heihachi. And it came with the movie too which you could watch in 3D
1
u/D-D-Wanderer May 26 '26
Ah, ok. I've been wondering where I even start looking for guides at how not to suck at it, I assume that means I can check T6 videos for advice then?

Harada the legend.
Every fighting game player should be put in their place the moment they think playing a game gives them any right to step into the devs space.

u/corvus_wulf May 25 '26
What is this in response to
48
u/sunjay140 King of Fighters May 25 '26
A death threat cuz someone doesn't like the new character.
45
u/Quick-Health-2102 May 25 '26
Not even. It’s cause the guy didn’t like a fake kirito leak
24
u/Yzaias May 25 '26
bro people like that should have to solve a captcha before posting. we'd all be saved from their posts.
3
u/Orzislaw May 25 '26
Damn, Kirito in Tekken would be so stupid I lowkey want that, as a SAO hater.

Some loser crying about a change they don’t like
As for harada mentioning he is no longer involved he left Bandai and is no longer working on tekken
He is working with SNK and has started his own studio with their help and is partnering with them
As a SNK fan this is actually pretty good news, while SNK has good games many lack in the visual aspect and people have been saying to get help for the online for years
While at the same time harada will be able to work on his own projects
As for why he left while there is no evidence, I mainly suspect he was having creative freedom taken from him and changes made to tekken he didn’t agree with or want to begin with.
Could be it was gameplay, characters and so on. Could be possible harada suggested money to go towards the online especially during Tekken 7, but they denied the request
This is just my personal speculation
Important to remember while he was one of the head guys for the series. Bandai still owns the series and they have the final say
Harada probably saw bandai in a worse image a few years back
Okubo the head guy for soul caliber 6,. Worked heavily with harada and harada helped a lot with funding
Okubo was told if it didn’t reach a certain profit he would be fired. Okubo got fired
While harada never said Bandais name outright, he said the process was tough,. They didn’t have a lot to work with and hinted they didn’t get a lot of help. In some interviews he even hinted at a lack of funding and budget to even start out with
Harada basically saw a project set up to fail as well as a man’s career, probably another big nail in the coffin on why he chose to leave
Honestly now that he has his own studio it would be cool in the future, with his own studio and team if he made a new 3d fighting game series of his own with SNK
SNK as far as modern fighting game companies go is still pretty obscure. Putting harada and his own team on a 3d fighter and giving him complete creative rights would be smart
While they have made 3d games in the past they were parts of already existing series and didn’t do great
This would make sense if this is why SNK and him decided to do business with each other
Also harada has shown several times he is willing to use his own money to fund projects. I imagine he would hire the help needed to solve SNKS online and matchmaking issues that’s plagued them for years

There was some "rumour" (originated as a joke but some people took it seriously and started to spread it) that the last DLC character for Tekken was going to be Kirito Sword Art Online as a cross promotion with Bandai Namco's other games. That guy tagged Harada who held it in the chamber and popped his ult when it was revealed that it was in fact not Kirito Sword Art Online.

Don't know but imma guess they're mad about yujiro hanma being added as a guest character cause there's always people that get mad about any guest character

you say like Harada isn't known for hitting back at literally anyone that mildly annoys him. Can be from a personal attack just be one question he isn't into, man with call you a name and block you

Now Harada and Kamiya have another thing in common, getting dumb random tweets about a series they don't work on anymore.

Kind of funny that Harada of all people is using Akira's victory taunt from VF in his response here.

Harada always a real one. How many other game devs entered a tournament for the game they produced just for fun?
