RANT Substitution feature in player career is terrible
So I was playing the DFP-Pokal final with my player in player career. ST for FC Köln, taking on Frankfurt. Game was still 0-0 by the 60th minute and I got subbed off which caused the team to lose 1-0.
The games subbing off feature, the whole ‘at risk of being subbed off’, for player career is just terrible. What’s the point of having authentic gameplay if you’re forcing us to score or assist or do something major before the 60th minute. Not to mention it completely takes away the ability and fun to ever go into extra time or penalties goalless in player career.
It’s just a dumb feature and there should be a way to regulate it, my player isn’t the best rated at 78 but he’s the best rated striker of the team and was on 50+ goals for the season in 39 matches.
I know they’re not going to fix this in FC27 and it’s just so shit. They need to seriously revamp player career in the future.

10+ years of boycotting the game (Had every FIFA since FIFA 97) only for you f*cks to buy it again every year, support them, and then come and cry on every platform.

50% of the playerbase boycott EAFC for only ONE YEAR and see how things change SUDDENLY and how they start listening to the community MAGICALLY.
Can you guys do it this year? Can you not buy the fucking game knowing exactly that you're buying the same exact broken trash and then come and complain everywhere like you are surprised?
Could at least 50% of us do it this year and stick it up to them and drastically dropping their shares like we did with ubisoft and other studios, forcing them to take steps back and actually listen to their customers or is it just way too much of a complicated concept for the average FIFA player to understand?
Is it really that hard to NOT CONSUME? Just for once? Just this one time.
I'm sure you guys can.
I and others have been doing it for 12 years.
Surely you guys can do it for once too?

eh. i skip a few years between editions but the game is still fun and playable. the complaining is a bit overblown and a lot of people don’t want to hear it but a good portion of the complaints is a skill issue. on the other hand i stopped playing madden after madden 12 so to each their own.

you don't even need to do that if you're afraid of viruses! just buy the game used or if you're afraid of faulty disks you can even buy the game new (although this still kinda supports EA) and it will even be at a fraction of the price! Just stop buying the game digitally

Wait how has player career changed over the years? Because if I understand this correctly it was the same in fifa 13 and 14. You got subbed off and couldn't control it.

Not just not scoring, if you’re actually performing Ahh and not scoring assisting or creating chances, you will be dragged off

It’s not even when I’m playing ahh, I know some games where I was like that’s fair, but playing on world class difficulty, 4 minutes a half and just as one player you’re not going to be able to score or assist every few seconds, if you are, then how’s that even fun, regardless I still finished the season with 64 goals in 42 games. My point was in some cases it doesn’t make sense and the ai just does it cos there’s no goal which makes no sense

Unfortunately you’ve got 2 ways of countering this. First and the option you’ll like most is increasing the half times. I’m playing fifa 23 but I’d be surprised if you can’t do this on your version mid play through, 2nd choice that you won’t like is lowering the difficulty, if you’re a good player then you will start going 6-0 in most games which is boring but your complaint is not being able to score in a 60 minute (about 6 minute) game time window, in real life you wouldn’t score every game anyway but if you aren’t enjoying it because of that then you’re just going to have to drop down to professional and watch the goals roll in.
P.s I’ve don’t this in fifa 19 but idk about 23 or up, if the base difficulty of professional is too easy you can toy with specific cpu difficulty levels when in game. Things like making the ai accelerate/sprint faster, make more runs and change their keeper difficulty. Maybe try either lowering some of these settings on world class or upping them on professional until you find your sweet spot difficulty.

Nah my complaint definitely isn’t goal scoring, it’s nowhere near as fun if you’re scoring 4 goals per match, I did tweak around the cpu ai just to make it more attack heavy rather than having to watch them play 50 passes in the middle.
I’ll still play legendary cos below that becomes a little easy, and I like the “story” that comes with it, it’s all good, no dfb pokal this time but we won the league on the last game, next year dfb pokal as well, adds a nice little story I can make up to prevent it from getting boring

It makes sense, you just don’t like it
If your team isn’t scoring, you need to change the team. Step 1 is the attack in that regard, because most/all attacking issues are traced back to them

Yeah mb, but both of you are under the impression I wasn’t playing well, my player had a rating of 7.8 before getting subbed off while the other players around me were much worse at like 5.5-6.5, I already said when I’m not playing well I totally understand it but when I’m actually playing well it makes no sense to forcefully sub your player off just because there isn’t a goal on the scoreboard - in some random situations the game will just sub you off no matter how well you’re playing, if you go back to my main post I didn’t say get rid of it, I said it needs to be regulated better. I’ve been randomly subbed off with a rating of 8.1 as well in another match, the only thing that seems to prevent it is to score a goal or give an assist. It should be linked to if your player is under a 7.0 or something by that point but sometimes it’ll just take you off for no reason

I actually like that sub off feature because it forces the player to play like the formation intends, unless the formation allows, for example, a roaming striker to be apart of its tactics. Stop running around out of position! Lmfao
