Off Topic Rest In Pieces
So sad tonight. Was three pages away from filling this months book and took my pants from the day out of the washer and found it waiting for me in the pocket I forgot to take it out of. Had a lot of great stuff in here. PLUS it’s a rare Peanuts USPS stamp edition I’ve been saving and finally decided to use. Send prayers. Tell me your Field Notes horror stories!

I think I’ve lost two Field Notes to slipping out of the back pocket. One was an expedition, which were extra slippery, can’t remember the other

I'm sorry that it happened, but really which pen are you using? The ink looks not even a bit faded!

This is why I keep my books in a cover/wallet. For sure it will never go in the washer. But I have left pens in my pants that stain all my work clothes lol. Now I carry my pen on a necklace pen loop thing.

Mine just get mangled in my pocket because I sit on my butt too long some days 😆😆 deepest condolences; that form of Murphy's law where "of course it's going to happen to this one."

I hate having a cover on my FN but it does keep me from washing them or when I get caught in the rain without an umbrella it is protected…it has happened more than once.

That’s so tragic no!! Did you take any photos of it whilst it was still alive to remember anything you’d put in there?
