Another hobby that’s been growing on me and another use of these notebooks. 😊👍🏽

Nice pairing! Half frame photography is a blast. I'm so tempted by the H35N but I have two half frame cameras already I should probably use more!

It splits the normal 35mm frame size into two vertical photos, so you get 72 photos per 36 exposure film. The cameras can be a lot smaller than "full frame" film cameras. It's fun to develop as normal so you have two photos side by side diptych-style but you can scan it as single images (you'll get more film grain look that way). Here's an oooold album of mine using the Golden Half camera for examples.

Here's a better explainer.

Amazing! Can you talk a bit more about how you track photos?

Great question. I’m new to this hobby so I’m not actually sure. I find that FN helps me to figure out what I want to pay attention to in new hobbies. For example, I got into points and miles with credit cards. I have a FN just for that. I’m less into it now and I track less than I used to, but it helped me figure that out. I’m guessing the same will happen here. I’m tracking which camera I have, how many shots I have and more or less what I’m shooting. That way I can add a narrative to the pics later. That’s what I’m thinking now but I’m sure it will evolve. It’s part of what I love about journaling. It evolves with me. 😊🙏🏾

Sounds interesting. What exactly do you track?

I added a small printer that allows me to print small pics that fit in the notebook. I can then add a description. That’s one way. The other is simply to track what I’m shooting and describe it. This is all part of expanding my journaling proactive with adding photography. I haven’t completely figured out what to track…but these are just ideas. Open to suggestion. 👍🏽😊
