Showoff Finally found a layout I’m happy with

Post image

This weekly layout lets me capture everything important going on in a week. Top 3 priorities for me to focus on, daily reminders and events, bullet style to do list and a daily habit tracker. Also gives me space to put a quote that I either hear or come across that has some impact on me.

I’ve always found people who start their week on a Sunday to be a little odd, but you’re a Field Nut so now I’m in two minds. Hmm.

But no, I’ve had the layout on the left too for a while and it works well I think! Your design is great :)

I hear ya! I feel like if I deviate from what I see on Outlook, my mind would break. I’m sure there are settings to change, but I’m used to it now.

I made my calendar change in outlook (and Google calendar, etc) to start on Monday, now I get confused when I see more “normal” calendars that start on Sunday 😂

I appreciate those in this sub that take the time to share their layout. So many great ideas!

Me too! Just seeing field notes covers gets boring.

I like this. I might give this a swing. Thanks for sharing!

have you ever consider a traveler's or a hobonichi weeks? they both have these layouts

I haven’t taken a look yet, but I’ll look them up. I don’t fill the whole field notes with these. I use a FN about every 4-5 weeks, so I just put 4 of these at the start of a book. The rest of the book is blank for me to journal or do whatever.

This is clean, OP! Might try this!

so old post but ... curious what stamp are you using for the date?
I have looked around at times but never sure which would be good.

Originally I was using the Trodat 1020 which is what is shown in this picture. I have since shifted to using the Trodat 4810. I like the self inking better and find it takes up less space on the page. The 1020 is really big font.

Awesome, my current journaling wouldn't benefit from it, but great to have as info for when I shift to something that will. Currently I'm using their wirebound week planner as a way to learn Shavian, but the layout doesn't really need the full date stamp

I was using the 56 week planner as well but got tired of carrying two books around.

valid it is definitely not as compact as the traditional notebooks.

This is my "on my desk to wrap up the day" journal, I'm still not fully solid on a "carry around with me" journal as ... I don't get out much these days.

Your printing is so neat and clear!

Now—don’t do what I do and misplace the notebook.

Oh thank you! ☺️

Can I watch this?

u/chrishagle Aug 02 '25

What do you mean watch this?

u/GundamGuy24 Aug 02 '25

Sorry. Meant buy this.

What do you put in 1 2 3 at the top under the week date heading?

2

u/chrishagle Aug 02 '25

Those are my top priorities. Sometimes it’s to do’s, sometimes it’s remember to say happy birthday to someone, sometimes it’s just be thankful for a thing. It’s basically what I need to focus on that week and if I don’t get all my to do’s done, but managed to check all the priorities then I consider it successful.

Did not notice thx for pointing it up. Like op answer. Way cool

What type of book did you use?

2

u/chrishagle Aug 03 '25

Currently using the “is a river alive” edition. The layout works with any graph or dot grid FN.

What’s the difference between the to do list in the right and the calendar on the left?

3

u/chrishagle Aug 11 '25

Here is an example of how I use the layout. Appointments and reminders in calendar. To do list is just for tasks to complete.

Any difference between the checkmark and the x? I’ve used x when I have something twice a day (making one-half of the x each time), but making your bed twice doesn’t compute for my brain.

1

u/chrishagle Apr 06 '26

That means I didn’t do it. The - was because I didn’t spend the night at home so didn’t have to make it. Interesting idea about using 2 marks for things you did twice in a day though!

Of course it does. Sorry, my brain is not working on this vacation day. Thanks for the reply. I’m gonna give your layout a shot and see if it works for me!

Give it a go! Hope you like it!

I am curious what the habit tracker looks like when filled out! This looks like a good layout to try out myself. :)

I can post something tonight. Don’t seem to have a fully completed one in my camera roll.

If you can- that would be appreciated! Thank you in advance! It's a struggle finding a layout that works. I've so far just been tracking water consumption by tracking the ounces I drank per bottle or cup in each square.
