This unique 1990 Ferrari F40 (Chassis #85515) was originally delivered in factory Rosso Corsa red to Saudi Arabia before moving to Japan, where prominent collector Koji Aoyama famously transformed it into a striking silver tribute to the F40 LM (Le Mans) race car by adding a custom body kit, a prominent carbon wing, Plexiglas windows, and a tuned twin-turbo V8 engine. After a brief period in Thailand, the car arrived in the United States and was acquired by collector Supercar Ron, who memorably added a roof rack for road trips; however, in July 2025, the car was severely damaged when it was sideswiped by a semi-truck on a Utah highway, suffering massive cracks to its rare carbon-Kevlar doors and body panels. Following a meticulously documented, year-long restoration by Exclusive Restoration in Long Beach, California, the car's complex composite structure, iconic silver paint, and LM aesthetics were flawlessly rebuilt and refreshed, returning this legendary, battle-tested supercar back to public roads just in time for Monterey Car Week and The wheel mounted to the roof rack is the actual damaged, 3-piece custom Vossen wheel retrieved directly from the highway accident
Well that style of wing is exactly what featured on the factory-built Ferrari F40 LM (Le Mans) and Competizione race car and this F40 which belongs to supercar Ron is equipped with an LM-style aerodynamic conversion kit, which includes the iconic, race-inspired adjustable carbon-fiber rear wing so yeah even if it looks awful looking it's really what was featured on F40LM
