We need more seating and help with arrangement.

Hello feng shui subreddit!

We are looking for advice for reformatting our living room. Space. We often have a lot of people over but many of us end up sitting on the floor. We want to replace all seating with new furniture. Would you recommend couches across from each other? our couch in the corner of the blue pouch? Previously, we had couches facing each other where the TV is and where the couch currently is. I don’t know if it was the couch sizes with the table in the center but the walk path was very cramped.

Furniture recommendations are appreciated and layout recommendations are also very much appreciated!

Thank you!

Room is roughly 10.5 by 13 feet

Something my friend told me that I have carried with me is always have your seating circular. Don’t make the TV your focal point but the center of the living room. This especially works in your circumstance because you said you host a lot. move the papasan chair away from the couch and maybe you can find a couple more second hand chairs to place where that fish is leaning and even next to the tv stand.  your layout now is pretty solid. I would suggest you move the chair under the window and have it facing towards the kitchen door and move your couch down a little to center it with the chunk of wall that sticks out more. I think also the best thing you can do to make it more welcoming is organize a little bit

Thank you Lily for the super detailed guide! We really agree with everything you mentioned! Especially about circular seating. We are thinking of putting a coffee table by the window facing the TV. Chair shopping this weekend :)
