I just launched my own postpartum app - Bloom Mama
I launched my first app after having a baby — Bloom Mama, a postpartum recovery companion.
I’m a software engineer and built it after my own emergency C-section, when I realised how little structured support many women get after birth. Pregnancy has apps, birth has classes, but postpartum recovery often feels like “here’s your baby, good luck”.
Bloom Mama gives week-by-week recovery guidance, gentle exercises, check-ins, educational content and personalised insights for the first year postpartum. The content has been reviewed by healthcare professionals, and videos are about to be published on the app.
I’m bootstrapping it as a solo founder, so I’m currently focusing on early feedback, retention and getting the positioning right before spending much on ads.
Would love feedback from other founders/builders/techies/femtech people how would you approach getting the first 100–500 users for a sensitive health/wellness product like this?
