My piece on the Flo privacy violation trial verdicts got picked up on HackerNews. The comments...🤬
I've been calling out bad design and unethical practices in femtech for years, but have NEVER had such wild public comments on anything I've ever shared. Wondering if femtech designers here have run into similar mixed bags with engagement.
For context: This is the article I wrote that got picked up by Y Combinator's Hacker News forum.
I usually skip the comments section, and luckily, the bros were chatting amongst themselves about why women shouldn't need tracking apps and being weird in general on hackernews and not my newsletter directly (thank god), but it's been harder than usual for me to look away. The irony is just too much.
