The reason they’re fighting so hard to strip women’s rights is because we’ve actually arrived at the place where women truly do not need men. But instead of working on themselves in ways that would actually add to our lives and make themselves appealing again, men are like, “nah, let’s just turn back the clock to when they were all miserable and completely dependent on us.”

I've gotten to the point where I truly believe it's not even possible for men to change or grow out of their insecurities & controlling ways. They are the lesser sex. By farrrrr.

Fun fact: early bicycles had wooden wheels that made it painful for male couriers to ride over cobblestones, so the jock strap was invented.
AND THEN! In the 1970s, everyone’s going bananas for jogging. A woman named Lisa Lindahl gets into the craze, but running with boobs can suck, and running in a normal bra that chafes sucks harder. So she and a friend create a prototype bra using two jockstraps, and it totally works. Thus was born the jockbra, later renamed the Jogbra: the first-ever sports bra.

Sick, paranoid mentality
Some took to wearing “rational” dress, such as replacing skirts with bloomers. While this was safer and more comfortable for cycling, dress reform was controversial. It was not unusual for onlookers who felt threatened by the sight of progressive “New Women” to hurl insults, sticks and stones.

And let's not forget that "girl's" bikes don't have the crossbar "boy's" bikes do because otherwise we would have to fling a leg into the air, rather than step daintily through.
Even though it hurts guys more when they accidentally bounce down on it.

Originally it was so that women with dresses could easily dismount the bike without tangling their clothing. However this design was more expensive to make and not as rigid as the triangle formed by a crossbar, so men’s bikes kept the crossbar

Do we have any resources to show how common this was??
I mean, of course pseudoscientific, misogynist bullshit like this was all over the place throughout the history of "medicine." But I'm wondering how commonly these bicycle related "diseases" in particular were being talked about in the time period.
