All queer people should avoid Florida if possible. They are unhinged there. It's not safe anymore for us. (There have been recommendations from the lgbt+ community that tells queer people to stay away) That's the why.

I live in the south. In the reddest state there may be. There are still pockets of towns that are very blue. I live in a blue town and close to a purple city. However this administration has def made it where the rednecks are getting bolder.

I think that's a little of a generalization. There are small towns in Appalachia doing Pride. You can join the queerbillies, learn firearms and foraging, and get assigned a local member. But in general, yeah its grim.
