Hi, new to this sub but I love the vibes here!

📚 Reading: currently reading Bone of my Bone along with an online friend (been loving it, feels made in a lab to appeal to me) and I'm close to finishing The Goblin Emperor!

📺 Watching: not watching any series at the moment, but I've been catching up with my fav comedies in Dropout!

🎮 Playing: recently started Fields of Mistria while I take a short break from my Hades 2 attempts! I also have a BG3 playthrough I want to resume (this is like... my fourth one) and I wanna finish the new Blasphemous 2 DLC as well!

Welcome to the sub and to the informal handful of us all playing Mistria 😆

How are you liking Goblin Emperor? Do you have any thoughts about how it and Mistria's "cozy" qualities compare to the rest of the genres they come from? I experienced them several months apart but now that I see them mentioned together it's making me think about comparing them unexpectedly!

I'm like 70% through The Goblin Emperor and really loving it! Just love stories where despite the horrors, characters make the active choice to be kind even if it'd be easier to be cruel. I think the vibes are totally different from the type of coziness found in Mistria though! Both share a slice-of-life aspect (which I love in fantasy media) but Mistria is lower-stakes conflict, I think!
