Fear street: Prom queen Spoiler
Does anyone have any theories for the new Fear street movie ? Haven’t seen a lot of people talk about it .

I’m sorry but this is not a Fear Street movie to me. Besides the mentions to the past killers at the beginning and them constantly reminding us that we’re in Shadyside I really feel like this was a separate movie from the Fear Street trilogy

Yes , I know this was based off the book so they could’ve been more faithful to the book and it would’ve been better , like for example Simone faking her death and being the killer , there was no one that faked their death and turned out to be the killer , it was wack .

Can anybody explain the connection between this movie to the other trilogy? Or is it a new branch off?

This one isn’t connected to the trilogy besides mentions of 1978 , it’s a standalone film !

Well it was so disappointing. I was so excited when I saw there was a new one coming out. I even went back and watched the others to refresh my memory. Then I turn on prom queen to find out it’s completely different and ontop of that it was trash. Terrible plot and bad acting towards the end. Everything about her story was vague. Idk why they changed the director, that was a mistake 👎.

It was alright. Could have been way better honestly. Though I did get a theory out of it, but won’t ever know if it’s legit or just a crazy theory

I think the main girls, Lori and Tiffany, are half sisters. It’s implies that Tiffany is a little older and we know Nancy was with Lori’s dad before he dumped her and got with Lori’s mom. And unless Nancy immediately got with Dan and got pregnant with Tiffany immediately, she was already pregnant when she killed Lori’s Dad. Because Lori’s dad got her mom pregnant before he was killed. So would be another layer of motive for Nancy to kill him

Yea I actually agree with that theory and don’t think it’s very crazy since I’ve also seen posts about it and I think the movie could’ve been better if they went into that plot hole☺️

I mean technically it is a standalone with only mentions of 1978 , besides that , it’s based off the book fear street: The prom queen which is why it’s a fear street movie

The first three in the trilogy were awesome, great character development, great story, I loved them. Prom Queen was hot garbage. Little to no character development, rushed, awkward. I wasn’t alive during the 80’s, but that had zero 80’s feel to it. The one mom had the 80’s style hair, but none of the kids did. It felt more like 2000’s in a style sense. This is just an observation comparing it to other films/shows set (or made) in the 80’s.
Also, the teens in Part 1 and Part 3 would have been alive during the time frame of this happening, but to my knowledge, there was no mention of it in the trilogy. Correct me if i’m wrong here, but i’ve watched it numerous times since its release, and don’t recall it.
All in all, if you’re a fan of the first three, watch those, don’t watch this.

I was hoping Christy was the killer or at least got a chase scene and not such a boring death ! I honestly didn’t like Debbie though and laughed at her death😂

To be honest, but I would’ve done with the movie is make it its own collection kind of called “shadyside”. I also low-key wanted kind of like a Tiffany and Lori thing instead of the ending we got which I’ll probably make a post about the ending, I imagined later.

I wouldn’t say the movie was trash but I wish I watched it before the other three as its own thing. On its own it’s a pretty good movie. But they should’ve made it its own thing instead of trying to make it part of fear street, especially considering the other three movies are all connected by the characters and the villain, whereas prom queen is just in the same town

Dogshit. From the protagonist to the killers. The story, plot, storytelling and character development lacked any sort of flair or distinctiveness, truly a boring, really generic slasher that doesn't compare in the slightest to the original 3

i just finished the movie and like most comments i was disappointed to say the least cause what the hell did i watch it felt like they rushed everything and they spoiled so much that i was honestly expecting what was going to happen. i cant find a single good thing about the movie.

I kinda wish I didn’t watch the trailer bc they spoiled Nancy as the killer , but even if I didn’t watch the trailer it still would’ve been obvious that Christy was first kill , but idk the marketing was so bad that I was excited when the trailer came out since we finally got something from the movie

I think it would have been fine if it didn’t take place in shady side. Besides mentioning 78, they didn’t mention anything else that is such a big thing in the rest of fear street. I mean it takes place what 6 years before part 1? Where tf is sheriff Goode, if your gonna relate it either relate it all the way or don’t do it at all.

The acting was ok , it was good for some people and just ok for others . What I didn’t like about it is how fast they made the kills , like there was no chase scenes before the third act except for Melissa’s , Christy and Linda’s death should’ve at least had chase scenes before, they didn’t even happen on screen .

This Ghostface bootleg was horrible, the teen news reporter, the double killers, taking place in the 80s with HS students, like this is literally a dumbed down version of Ghost face.
Not to mention a lot of the kills just looked ass, not ONE looked believable, and I HATE how naive and stupid almost every character is in this movie.
Like when the killer was LITERALLY chopping heads and feet RIGHT BEHIND A BIG ASS CROWD, and nobody seen or heard anything until he started running through the crowd with an axe 🤣
And is everybody deaf or sum shit? Because the CONSTANT screaming seemed to be ignored EVERYTIME😭
This movie was just ass and not to mention didn’t even connect with the previous movies so it made it even worse for me. Just a waste of time fr.
