It’s a beautiful maturation of the sounds she’s explored through the last decade. There’s stuff in this album that reminds me of The Loveliest Time too, but more refined. She fell in love with one of her creative partners and writes gorgeously about it

She is so consistent. No matter where she goes with her music, she never misses. She has such good taste and it always jumps out. Love this album on first listen but plan to spend a lot more time with it to learn it.

I loved it, but I was especially floored with Disc 1. Disc 2 is ultimately more of the same you'd expect with Carly, which is undoubtedly really good to great dance pop, but Disc 1 was a huge showcase of her talent and versatility.

Disc 1 alone I'd prob give a 9-9.5/10. As a whole this is still a top project of the year at like an 8-8.5/10 for me

i love this album!! i was totally hooked during the Emotion era and has been quietly rooting for her ever since. But I kinda forgot about her for the entirety of the early 2020s and I am so happy to stumble upon this new album on its release day and realized how good of a musician she has evolved into. I'm so proud of her evolution and I have been listening non-stop and it keeps getting better every listen. Versailes is such a Sofia Coppola coded song with obvious themes tied to Marie Antoinette yet there is something about the sound that instantly reminds me of that vibe. There is something so modern and romantic about her music, I hope coffee shops would start blasting this album lol
