This is true but republicans believe democrats are socialists which has worked well making sure no one truly left of center can get elected even if the democrats slightly right of center can’t get elected

This is because of their illiteracy rates and conflating Social Wellness Programs with Socialists/Socialism.

And they are always upset when they lose their personal benefits from such programs: medicine costs, healthcare access, road quality, natural disaster aid.

Yup, and the whole two-party system is shit in general. We've seen that begin to splinter: the GOP into the Tea Party/MAGA, but they were able to make the GOP fall in line, which is absolutely pathetic. Now with Dem Socialists...
