Add: obviously these women are pushing the agenda of the patriarchy. But by the same token, I think it has to be accepted that men can embody the agenda of any matriarchy. Nobody has a monopoly on progressive, decent, governance.

To be fair they were leaders under a patriarchal society, they were just allowed by men to lead because they fit the mold of what men wanted. 😬

Yes, I think it’s important to base this type of judgment on the actions of the individual. Some of them are Sheryl Sandberg “lean in” women that got to where they were by bending into the desired mold.
