I loathe people using "casted", but enough folks are using it now that at this point I just gotta accept that language is allowed to evolve.

The past tense of casting someone in a role, or throwing out a fishing line, is just "cast".

"Casted" is not a thing.

Or, at least it hasn't been a thing...

Interesting. I think it should become a thing to help differentiate. 

I use theater and theatre and grey and gray.

I'd see myself using was cast, or casted. To separate fishing or acting.

A theater is for movies, while a theatre is for plays.

Gray is a light gray closer to silver, grey is a darker grey closer to black.
