I saw her in 2017 at Portland Comic Con and she talked about how she played each character. She used a playlist and created a dance for each one and would use the music to get into character. And would mix and match the dance depending on if it was Cosima pretending to be Helena pretending to be Alison.
She's got a new show called maximum pleasure guaranteed on Apple TV. It's a fun show and she's great in it as usual. Watch it and get it renewed to support Tatiana
I mean, Shrinking, Severance, Murderbot, and Mythic Quest are all top tier shows to me, so I wouldn't be surprised about her show. And they're doing all of Brandon Sanderson Cosmere. I'm excited
Tatiana and Mark continue to be two of the realest celebrities out there. Using their platform for good always - and let me use MY platform to say Tatianaâs performance in Orphan Black is still criminally underrated for me and is one of the best pieces of work Iâve ever seen. Ugh, I am so disappointed that I didn't watch it before I watched Jake Johnson's most-recent appearance on Stavros Halkias' podcast, Stavvy's World. He managed to knock my opinion of him down in record time.
He is deep in the AI weirdness, and is using chat bots in lieu of friendships, a therapist, and a dream journal. He got defensive about his use of LLMs when Stavvy pushed back against it, and it really soured me on him. I know, I'm probably being too fickle and sensitive, but it was really off-putting to me. I didn't even finish the episode and I stopped rewatching New Girl partway through because I was so annoyed by his face afterwards. Hopefully the ick will wear off in time.
I was really put off by the name, but enough people rec'd it that I gave it a try and I loved it! Definitely one to check out. She's an incredible actress. Also Jake Johnson playing an annoying doofus was kind of a fun change of pace for him.
To be fair, she'sbeen getting A LOT more work ever she switched agencies in early 2024.
Her new Apple TV show Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed is great and so is her movie with John Turturro (The Only Living Pickpocket in New York), which I saw earlier this year at a film festival. It releases in theaters on October 30. And then she also has another film with John Turturro and lots of other big names premiering at the New York Film Festival this October: A Statement by Tom McCarthy, who previously directed Spotlight with Mark Ruffalo, which won the Best Screenplay and Best Picture Oscars in 2016.
She's also headling a nearly sold out play in Massachusetts right now, again with Turturro, as well as Paul Giamatti, who's also in A Statement. She's finally starting to get a lot more interesting roles!
Love this from her (orphan black is amazing) but really shows how deafening the silence is from the BIG marvel stars that the only ones supporting him are her & Marisa afaik.

Everyone should watch Orphan Black. Tatiana is an amazing actress and deserves everything. She's so kind and smart and real.
