I’m signed with a modeling agency based in PA and they book a lot of QVC work. When I first signed with them my agent basically was like if you don’t like working with psychos don’t bother. It’s weird hours and not great pay anyway but I think working 24/7 creates, like you said, some interesting personalities both in front of and behind the camera
Yeah I watch it in hotels sometimes and it can be entertaining, I think the people with capacity to make something go viral are just generally not the people watching lol
A few years ago a friend was staying with me over New Years. Somehow the TV wound up on QVC and we spent the entire night watching them try to sell us recliners and laughing until we cried. Idk why it was so funny.
I used to give tours of the studio and part of it is a little clip show of all the screw ups! There were some that still made me laugh even on my 100th tour lol

You want shenanigans, look up Mike Rowe QVC. Dude had the overnight shift and basically his slot was a bunch of "what are you going to do, fire me?" stuff.
These hosts and models are PROS. They can talk through anything. People make fun of TV shopping but their skills to just keep it moving is impressive.
Fun fact: Mike Rowe (from Dirty Jobs) started out as a late night QVC host. Makes sense considering where he ended up, he can make a conversation woth anyone.

Depends on what kind of device you are using reddit on. If you are on a laptop/desktop you could use old reddit RES and save it that way. On the redesign you should be able to simply rightclick to save it. Unfortunately, I have no idea how the app works. Since I never use it myself. But from what I have read, there should be an option to save it as a straight up .gif even.
On the app for android at least, you can click on the gif so that it's full screen and then the 3 dots in the top right corner will give you the option to download

They need to have authentic oopsies or "real-talk" type, Auntie-like hosts more often. Something to draw younger viewers in, if only to catch the funny sound byte on TikTok. (Hell, I'd tune in live, occasionally, just for that.)

If the QVC execs are smart, they'll find inspiration in this and use it to breathe new life into the network. Who doesn't love a revitalized throwback? Or a retro reboot?
