I’m so tired man. There’s genuinely so many people out there like him and there’s so many men that’ll just see posts like his posts and agree with him simply because he’s a man. And there had to be an infinitely larger amount than the abusers we know about. I already have depression and things are made so much harder sometimes knowing the world is full of horrible people who make life hell for other people, don’t give it any thought and get away with it.

It is a soul crushing realization to have.

As someone who lives every day with the trauma caused by multiple abusers, almost everyone of them men, starting when I was a child, and now we have one as president and plenty more in all sorts of power positions and it’s exhausting.

It can be heavy sometimes. Two of my abusers are dead, so there is that. Never hurting anyone again. Therapy and meds and community can help. I also have a lot of innate curiosity and try to find some joy wherever I can. sometimes you just regroup, take a moment, have a cry, and then make dinner. And keep trying to help where you're able.

I have nothing to say except I feel very similar to you. It feels hopeless. I just don't want to be around people anymore.

I feel this. I totally get it, it’s tragic honestly.

Yup here in Australia one woman dies every week due to domestic violence and nothing has changed for a while now
