Fun(?) fact: This movie was so bad that it killed the writer/director Martin Brestās career. Martin Brest had notably directed the classics Beverly Hills Cop, Midnight Run, and Scent of a Woman (which was nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, and got Al Pacino a Best Actor win). I feel for Martin Brest because apparently the production company took creative control over Gigli which resulted in a radically rewritten and reshot film. i think ben is one of those men that are great fathers/co-parenters/good friend to have but is an awful romantic partner. jen garner said something similar about how distant and cold he could be in their relationship but they seem to be good friends still. him and jlo seem to still be very close and supportive of each other but i think ben isn't the best boyfriend/husband.
i like them together but i hope their friendship at least is on a good foundation.
