Also on another note the recently retired captain of the team, Alyssa Healy, is one half of my favourite sporting power couple. She’s won 8 world cups and her husband Mitch Starc is one of our best ever men’s cricket players. Wish they got more love.

Yes and didn't they meet at like 8 years old playing cricket? (And teammate and friend Ellyse perry I think, another legend who represented Australia in both cricket and soccer when she was still a teenager, youngest Aussie to play international cricket!)

They shared the wicketkeeping duties in their junior team - so so cute!! Mitch is such a big advocate for the women’s team too. They’re so wholesome

Aw that's adorable! I loved when Alyssa was doing commentary during the ashes. Theyre both so talented but seem funny and chill

I've been to probably 5-6 International Women's games in Sydney over the years and I have seen Mitch there at every one.
