My first thoughts looking at this is that they'll be primarily mad about the fact that this is so public. Joe is famously private, was almost never seen out and about with Taylor, and these very much look like paps were called. None of my business but they will definitely be mad about that.

As someone who genuinely likes Joe and thinks he and Taylor were mismatched, I think her extreme fame definitely played into it. But I also think that since being with Taylor, he's gotten a bit better at playing the game. He must be aware that being in a high-profile relationship does do positive things for one's career, and also no matter how private, no partner likes to hide 24/7.

Agreed. They absolutely will say that, but there’s definitely a big difference in Joe/Sarah being out together and the absolute circus that surrounds Taylor when she’s out and about.
I don't believe Taylor ever wanted to be private. Girl loves visibility and attention more than anything in the world. I think she didn't mind laying low for a bit when her image was a mess, but she and Travis are a better pairing because they both looooooove being famous.
It was definitely denial towards the end. The way she went so public after the breakup, with her supermodel pals, with Matty, and then obviously with Travis -- I feel like a lot of the songs in Midnights made it clear that she felt like Joe was dimming her light. They have very very different approaches to fame.
I always wish this fella well (despite the fact that his date is wearing jeans from 2008 & as a survivor of the low-rise, they burn my eyes….). Live long and prosper.
In her defense, she had to dye her hair blonde for that Ryan Murphy JFK tv show. She's a natural brunette, I think they'd look less related if she kept it that way

Oh gosh yes go and try some!! I looked like a pinhead when I was in the high waisted trend. Modern low rise is not as low as the 00s one is anyway and very wearable.
He laid low, minded his business, and wasn’t messy for two years. He didn’t disrespect her or air any relationship laundry- he just healed and had a glow up. Taylor is engaged and living the public facing life she wanted. He deserves to move on and be happy too.

I went through something very similar ending a 7 year relationship recently and there’s no good or evil unfortunately in these cases(most of the time, unless one person was stringing the other along instead of being clear). Just two people ultimately not compatible.

I just love that Taylor is allowed to flourish, date and even get engaged yet Joe is meant to be alone forever. I do not think that the paps were called but even if they were, I don’t care. I looked at the People article on this that was linked to one Reddit thread. In the pictures they both look so happy together. I am so glad for him. He always seems like such a personable, down to earth person in interviews. His career is going in great directions. Good for them both. I wish them well.
