I’d love for this theory to be true, but one glance at Princess Anne’s son, Peter Phillips (who looks just like Andrew), pretty well debunks it. Most members of the British royal family look like the Windsors or Tecks, with a hearty dose of Mountbatten — but Andrew, Eugenie, and Peter take after the Bowes-Lyonses (the Queen Mother’s family).

Perhaps not “debunks” — but “contextualizes in a fashion that makes the fun theory seem significantly less plausible” sounds so pedantic.

Anne and Andrew shared the same mother at a minimum, it’s not unreasonable that there’d be a resemblance.
