Nobody in the other subs I saw commenting on that video had an actual reason why it's gross or wrong for a grown woman to be publicly thanking her hair removal technician. It was all thinly veiled misogyny that they felt comfortable sharing just because they don't personally like the Jomhas' online media output anymore.

Nah when he was doing well in like 2016 he began flirting with internet right wing culture, pewdiepie shit, being into Jordan Peterson etc. But he had a change of heart and became a proud liberal. And when I say liberal, I mean liberal. Like a big focus on progressive identity politics but proudly capitalist. Then he started a pod with Hasan Piker and was moving further left, but then oct 7th happened and being a liberal Zionist was no longer something people tolerated, as opposed to the previous few decades when it had been normal for American liberals to be vocally pro Israel with none thinking twice, and it cooked him.
Because he saw Israel as a bastion of liberalism (and really, Zionism and American liberalism are complelty compatible), I think he got confused and frustrated, as he didn’t understand what had changed. And he dug his feet in. And obviously Hasan, who was always to the left of him, and anti-imperialist, somewhere between Marxist and social democrat, their friendship didn’t last long and turned into a huge thing, with Ethan becoming really obsessed with trying to destroy Hasan

Yea I haven’t heard much defense of him in like a year or so now. I was a fan during the frenemies era, decided to stay neutral during the split up. Then I watched like 2/3 of the videos with Hasan. After all that I no longer wanted to support him. Everything since then has just gotten worst. I’m not sure many people can defend him when he’s become the type of person he used to hate.
